A Familiar Beginning, A New Creative Chapter

Two Rivers Art Workshops is back — but in a new body, so to speak. We’re now Two Rivers Arts, and while our name has evolved, the heart of what you loved is very much the same. You’ll notice we’ve kept our logo as a familiar touchstone, honoring where we began while confidently stepping into what’s next.

This new chapter brings together everything we learned from The Arts Center of Montross with our original, hands-on workshop roots. At its core, Two Rivers Arts is about learning, teaching, and sharing creative experiences. We’re building a vibrant lineup of classes designed to spark curiosity and help artists grow — from stained glass and dichroic glass to pottery and sculpture; from oil, acrylic, and cold wax painting to drawing and scratchboard; from embroidery to quilting, and so much more. And truly, this is just the beginning.

In addition to classes and workshops, Two Rivers Arts will continue to be a place where art lives beyond the classroom. We’ll be showcasing and offering original artwork by our Steering Committee members and instructors, making it easy to discover one-of-a-kind pieces — whether you’re looking for art for your home, a meaningful gift, or a small handcrafted treasure that simply speaks to you.

We’re also excited to host two to four workshops each year with nationally acclaimed teachers, bringing fresh perspectives and new energy into our creative community. Thoughtful growth takes time, and we’re building this carefully and intentionally — but we’re energized, inspired, and fully committed to making Two Rivers Arts a place where creativity can truly thrive.

You may remember our longtime tagline: Discover · Connect · Create. As we step into this new phase, we’ve added one simple but powerful word — Together. That addition perfectly reflects both our roots and our evolution. Originally founded as Two Rivers Art Workshops, our mission has always centered on hands-on learning and shared creative experiences. From the very beginning, bringing people together through art has been at the heart of what we do.

As Two Rivers Arts grows into a broader creative community, our purpose continues to expand while staying true to those beginnings. Today, we’re creating a welcoming space where artists and art lovers can learn, collaborate, and grow — together — honoring the past while shaping a connected, inclusive, and creative future.
