Where Water Meets Land, Two Rivers Arts’ First Juried Art Show
Updated: Oct 2
There is something compelling about the place where water meets land. It is a place of movement and stillness, reflection and change—a place where two very different elements come together to create something entirely their own.
This June, Two Rivers Arts invites the community to experience that meeting through its first juried art exhibition, Where Water Meets Land.
Running June 1–30, the exhibition brings together artists inspired by the rivers, creeks, shores, marshes, bays, and waterways that define and enrich our region. Through a variety of artistic perspectives and mediums, the show explores the ways water shapes the landscape—and how the landscape, in turn, shapes our experience of water.

A Celebration of Place and Perspective
Where Water Meets Land is more than an exhibition about scenery. It is an invitation to look more closely at the places we know.
Water can be quiet or powerful, reflective or unpredictable. It can mark a boundary, connect communities, sustain life, and carry memories. The shoreline can be a place of solitude, discovery, recreation, work, or inspiration.
The artists selected for this juried exhibition were invited to interpret this theme in their own way. The result is an opportunity to see familiar landscapes through fresh eyes and to discover the many stories contained within the meeting of water and land.
