World of Color: Jessica Taylor Art Exhibition at Two Rivers Arts in Montross, VA
Two Rivers Arts is pleased to present World of Color, a deeply personal art exhibition by Virginia artist Jessica Taylor. On display in Montross, Virginia, the exhibition explores resilience, healing, personal growth, and overcoming adversity through Jessica's vibrant and expressive paintings.
Born in Richmond and raised in Colonial Beach, Virginia, Jessica Taylor's artistic journey began at an early age. Encouraged by educators who recognized her natural artistic gifts, she had opportunities to explore and develop her creativity through a variety of artistic styles and influences.
Jessica later continued her education at Rappahannock Community College, earning associate degrees while balancing the responsibilities of work, marriage, and motherhood.
Art as Healing and Personal Expression
For Jessica, painting eventually became much more than an artistic pursuit. It became a form of therapy and a way to process life's challenges. Through returning to painting, she rediscovered a passion that had always been a part of her and began using her art to tell her story, find strength, and look toward the future.
World of Color reflects that journey of personal discovery and resilience.
The exhibition is organized around four featured settings:
The Wall of Strength
The Wall of Appearance
The Wall of Betrayal
The Wall of Recognition and Growth
Together, these works invite visitors to experience Jessica's personal journey and reflect on the ways people confront difficult experiences, adapt, heal, and find renewed purpose through creativity.
