Introducing Jessica Taylor, Featured Artist for May and June

Born Jessica R. Brown in Richmond, Virginia, she grew up in the small town of Colonial Beach and now resides in King George, VA. Jessica began exploring art at a young age, and her talent was quickly recognized by the late Dr. Warner, Superintendent of Colonial Beach Schools. He encouraged her to attend the gifted and talented program in Warsaw, Virginia, where she spent three summers developing new skills and refining her artistic voice.

After high school, Jessica continued her education at several institutions, including Rappahannock Community College and Germanna Community College, where she earned an associate degree with honors. Life took her to North Carolina for a time, but she eventually returned home to Colonial Beach and later settled in King George.

Following a series of challenging life events, Jessica reconnected with her art. She discovered that painting was not only where she wanted to be, but where she needed to be. Today, her work reflects her personal journey—capturing emotions, experiences, and growth through each piece she creates.
