At Two Rivers Arts, we are fortunate to have teachers who bring not only artistic talent to the classroom, but also a genuine love of sharing what they know. Joan Campbell is one of those special teachers.

Joan is a talented artist whose creativity extends well beyond the studio. For many in our community, however, she will always be remembered first as a beloved teacher at Washington District Elementary School, where she inspired generations of young artists. Her former students still recognize Joan throughout our community, remembering her with warmth and affection. The impact of a good teacher can last a lifetime, and Joan's influence continues through the many students she encouraged to explore their creativity, try something new, and find joy in making art.

An Artist in Her Own Right

Joan's artistic talents can be seen in the beautiful wire-wrapped stone jewelry available at Two Rivers Arts. Each piece combines the natural beauty of the stone with Joan's intricate wirework, creating jewelry that is both distinctive and wearable.

You can find her work at Two Rivers Arts in a variety of necklaces, bracelets, and other jewelry pieces. Each one reflects Joan's appreciation for natural materials and her careful, creative craftsmanship.

Sharing the Joy of Making

Joan's talents span many different art forms, and she loves sharing that knowledge with both children and adults. At Two Rivers Arts, Joan teaches pottery classes for kids and adults, giving students the opportunity to get their hands in the clay, experiment, create, and discover the joy of working with a wonderfully tactile material.

We are also excited about what is coming next. Joan will be teaching glass classes at Two Rivers Arts next year! We can't wait to see what she creates and, even more importantly, what our students create under her guidance.

Stay tuned for more information about Joan's upcoming glass classes.

Creativity Beyond the Studio

Joan's love of nature doesn't stop with stones. She is also an avid gardener, tending both vegetables and flowers. Her garden is another expression of the creativity and patience that she brings to her art and teaching.

There is something wonderfully fitting about that connection. Whether she is nurturing a garden, guiding a student, working with clay, creating a piece of jewelry, or exploring a new medium, Joan brings curiosity, care, and creativity to everything she does.

Come Meet Joan at Two Rivers Arts

We invite you to discover Joan's work, take one of her classes, and perhaps find one of her beautiful wire-wrapped pieces to take home.

And if you happen to see one of Joan's former students at Two Rivers Arts, don't be surprised if they have a story to tell about their favorite teacher.

We are delighted to have Joan Campbell as part of the Two Rivers Arts creative community—and we're excited to see where her creativity takes us next!
