OIL PAINTING BASICS w/Kim Hall

Each session begins with a focused demonstration, followed by personalized instruction and feedback on your individual work. Throughout the course, we will explore the essential building blocks of painting, including materials and palette setup, working with a limited palette, basic composition, identifying big shapes and values, and defining lights and darks. Students will work from both a carefully arranged still life and photographic references — giving you a well-rounded foundation for painting in any setting.
